BIHAR CHO 2024 NOTIFICATION
The State Health Society of Bihar recently announced the information related to the recruitment on contractual basis under the National Health Mission for the post of Community Health Officer. As specified this profile is essential for leading a pack of health workers which would include female and male health workers as well as ASHAs at Health Sub-Centres and Health and Wellness Centre’s (HWCs).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

AGE LIMIT
Candidate age between 21-42 years for BIHAR CHO posts..some categories got age relaxation also and they are given below:

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Essential Qualifications: B.Sc. (Nursing) with successful completion of a six-month integrated curriculum of Certificate Course in Community Health (CCH) from an Indian Nursing Council State Nursing Council recognized University from 2020 onwards.
- OR Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) with successful completion of a six-month integrated curriculum of Certificate Course in Community Health (CCH) from an Indian Nursing Council State Nursing Council recognized University from 2020 onwards.
- OR B.Sc. (Nursing)/Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing)/General Nurse and Midwifery (GNM) passed candidates who have completed Certificate Course in Community Health (CCH) through IGNOU/other State Public Health/Medical Universities as per the curriculum of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GOI.
EXAM PATTERN
- There is only one paper in the SHSB Community Health Officer Written Examination, and it covers five distinct topics
- All questions are objective.
- For each right answer candidates got +2 marks and there is no negative marking
- Total time duration is 2 hours .
SYLLABUS
The syllabus of BIHAR CHO is divided into 5 sections and they are given below:
- Child health includes a variety of medical conditions as well as learning challenges.
- The three main areas of adolescent health are infectious illnesses, reproductive health, and maternal care.
- Maternal health includes disease prevention, reproductive education, and screenings.
- The categories of communicable and non-communicable diseases include chronic ailments including diabetes and heart disease.
- Family Planning looks into government regulations, health dangers, and contraception.

SALARY AFTER SELECTION
Community Health Officers (CHOs) at the Health & Wellness Center at National Health Mission, Bihar receive a total salary of ₹40,000/-per month. Out of this total, ₹32,000/-is the fixed pay scale, and the remaining ₹8,000/-is the Performance Linked Payment
