The exam of IBPS PO scheduled every year by the Institute of Banking and personnel selction (ibps) to select those candidates who are eligible for the post of Probationary officers in different public sector banks in india. This exam has been started since 2011 and in 2024 this would be the 14th edition. Ibps po exams are conducted in three different stages

IBPS PO 2024 EXAM SUMMARY

- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% for general category, 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates.

IBPS PO 2024 FEE DETAILS UNDER DIFFERENT CATEGORIES:
The institute of banking personnel selection which starts its application from 01.08.2024 to 21.08.2024 for 3955 probationary officer posts. The cateogary wise fee structure of IBPS PO 2024 is given below. once the fee paid by you will not be refundable in any case. IBPS PO 2024 ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA
The eligibility criteria for IBPS PO 2024 include the following factors:
1. Nationality
- A candidate must be:
- An Indian citizen, or
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling permanently.
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from countries like Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, etc., with the intention of permanently settling in India.
2. Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 20 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years (as of August 1, 2024)
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 10 years
- Other relaxations apply for specific categories such as ex-servicemen, persons domiciled in J&K, etc.
3. Educational Qualification
- Degree Requirement: A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
- Candidates should have their degree results declared before the application deadline.
- Proficiency in working on computers and knowledge of the official language of the state where they are applying may be preferred by some banks.
4. Other Criteria:
- Candidates must be of sound character and in good health.
- Must possess valid documents proving eligibility when asked during various stages of the selection process.
IBPS PO 2024 EXAM PATTERN
The IBPS po conducts three sets of examination which is know prelims, mains and interview. The first examination is prelims of 100 marks which is of qualifying nature next is mains examination which contains both objective and descriptive of 225 marks and the last is interview round which is of 100 marks. The final result is calculated based on the marks obtained in both the interview and the main exam with a weightage of 20:80.

Ibps po interview
Those candidates who passed prelims and mains examination have to face a face to face interview that contains 100 marks . The minimum qualifying marks for general category is 40%(whereas 35% for PWD, ST,SC,OBC candidates).
The final merit list is based on the mains examnation and interview . The final merit list is marks obtained in mains and interview with a weightage are in the ratio 80:20.
