Phases: The recruitment process includes three phases: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Interview.
Phase I: Preliminary Examination
The preliminary examination pattern varies by post:
(A) For Law Officer
- English Language
- Reasoning
- General Awareness (with special reference to the Banking Industry)
(B) For IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, and Marketing Officer
- English Language
- Reasoning
- Quantitative Aptitude
Phase II: Mains Examination
The mains examination is based on professional knowledge specific to each role:
(A) For Law Officer, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, and Marketing Officer
- Professional Knowledge (Objective)
(B) For Rajbhasha Adhikari
- Professional Knowledge (Objective)
- Professional Knowledge (Descriptive)
Phase III: Interview
Candidates who qualify in the Online Main Examination will be shortlisted for an interview conducted by participating banks, coordinated by IBPS.
- Interview Centers: Select centers across different States/UTs.
- Call Letter: Candidates must download their interview call letter from the official IBPS website (www.ibps.in).
- Interview Marks: Total marks for the interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks are:
- 40% for general candidates
- 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates
Note:
- Requests for changes in interview date, venue, or time will not be entertained.
- IBPS reserves the right to alter the date, time, or venue under unforeseen circumstances.
Final Selection Criteria
- Weightage of Marks: Online Main Examination and Interview scores are weighted at 80:20.
- Final Score Calculation: The combined final score is derived from the total marks in the Online Main Examination and Interview.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must meet the minimum interview mark threshold to be considered for provisional allotment.
- Merit Ranking: Candidates must qualify in both the Online Main Examination and the Interview, and rank sufficiently high to proceed to the provisional allotment phase.
