RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2025

Applicants who have filled the RRB ALP 2025 exam application form need to prepare for the test according to the new exam pattern. In order to know the exam pattern, we have discussed below RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2025 for both CBT 1 and CBT 2.

RRB ALP CBT 1 Exam Pattern 2025

  • There is a Negative Marking of ⅓ mark for every wrong answer.
  • The time limit for the CBT 1 Exam is 60 minutes (1 hour).
  • There will be 75 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying 1 mark each.
  • Qualifying Marks: UR & EWS – 40%, OBC (NCL) – 30%, SC – 30%, ST – 25%

RRB ALP CBT 2 Exam Pattern 2025

  • A Negative Marking of ⅓ mark for every wrong answer.
  • There will be a total of 175 questions (100 in Paper 1 and 75 in Paper 2).
  • Paper 1 Exam is for 90 minutes and Paper 2 is for 60 minutes.
  • In Part -A, Minimum pass percentage for eligibility: UR & EWS – 40%, OBC (NCL) – 30%, SC – 30%, ST – 25%
  • Part B- qualifying marks 35% for all categories
  • Only the marks obtained in Part-A will be considered for shortlisting of candidates for CBAT .

RRB ALP 2025 CBAT [Psycho Test]

RRB ALP CBAT Exam is a Computer Aptitude Test conducted to test candidates’ mental skills, psychometric skills/, decision-making skills etc, and to determine the candidates’ strengths for ALP posts. The CBAT (Psycho Test) is qualifying in nature and there is no penalty for a wrong choice. The candidate must score at least 42 marks in every test to become eligible. This exam contains 5 different tests and each test has a different time limit.

Memory Test: This section checks the candidate’s capacity to remember and recall a number of specific details correctly.

  • In this test, the candidates will be presented with a map and other buildings to observe and memorize buildings and then asked to mark the position of these buildings on a test page.
  • Checked the candidates’ speed in matching numbers. On the left, 1 number will be provided and on the right side there are five other numbers. Candidates need to identify which of the five numbers is the same as the number provided on the left.
  • This test is divided into 2 parts a Study page and a Test page. On the study page, a railway map with the names of some railway stations will shown. Your task is to memorize the location of stations. On the test page, candidates have to recall the location of each station and mark it.

Following Directions Test: This test evaluates the candidate’s skill at understanding and following directions/instructions

  • Here you will be provided with a pattern of letters to observe and will be questioned regarding how some of the directions will alter within that pattern.
  •  In this test, a few English letters will be provided in a circle accompanied by some numbers written inside squares. The Centre of circle shows direction. Question will
    be asked based on this whole pattern.

Depth Perception Test: Access the skill of judging distances properly.

  • Candidates will be presented with a stack of bricks with a few bricks having letters A, B, C, etc. on them. Candidates need to count the bricks that are touching bricks of the pile which contains a letter.
  • Candidates will see a stack of blocks. Your job is to count how many blocks, all sides and corners being covered by the other blocks.

Test of Power of Observation – The test measures candidates’ capacity to observe and compare information rapidly in time limits.

  • This is a test session to check the candidates to compare two numbers rapidly and determine if they are the same or not. If the numbers are the same, choose ‘Y’ or otherwise choose ‘N’ by clicking the mouse.
  • Four sets (A, B, C, & D) of digits are found by candidates. Your job is to determine the set of digits that has a “6” in it. If the digit “6” occurs more than once, your response will be ‘E’.

Perceptual Speed Test: This is a test which measures the speed of a candidate’s ability to match figures at a rapid rate

  • This is a test to check how fast you can perceive figures in a way to equate them.
  • This is a test of your skill to equate figures quickly. A figure has been provided on the left side. On the right side, there are five other figures. You need to determine which among the five figures is the same as the given figure on the left.

RRB ALP CBT 2 syllabus is in 2 Parts: Part A and Part B. Part A consists of 4 subjects: Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and Basic Science & Engineering. But the Part B syllabus is to pertinent the trade/subject.
