Indian Army SSC NCC Special Entry Recruitment 2025

Being an officer in the Indian Army is a source of pride and honor in addition to being a career. NCC cadets have an exclusive route to becoming Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officers without taking a written test thanks to the Indian Army NCC Special Entry Scheme 2025. Based on their academic records and NCC background, candidates are immediately shortlisted for the SSB interview.

The goal of this recruitment campaign, which runs from August 2025 to September 2025, is to fill 76 positions for both men and women under the 123rd NCC Special Entry Scheme. Training will start at OTA Chennai in April 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Army NCC Special Entry 2025

Nationality

  • Citizen of India, or
  • Subject of Nepal, or
  • PIO migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries intending to settle permanently in India.

Educational Qualification

  • For NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders:
    • Graduate from a recognized university.
    • Final year students eligible (must submit proof by 1 April 2026).
    • Minimum 2–3 years service in NCC Senior Division/Wing.
    • Minimum ‘B’ Grade in NCC ‘C’ Certificate Exam.
  • For Wards of Battle Casualties:
    • Graduate degree required.
    • NCC Certificate not mandatory.

Age Limit

  • 19 to 25 years as on 01 January 2026.
  • Born between 02 January 2001 and 01 January 2007 (both inclusive).

Physical & Medical Standards

  • Must meet Indian Army norms.
  • Sample fitness benchmarks:
    • Men: 2.4 km in 10m 30s, 30 push-ups, 40 sit-ups, 6 pull-ups.
    • Women: 2.4 km in 13m, 15 push-ups, 25 sit-ups, 2 pull-ups.

Army Ranks and Salary Structure & Benefits

  • Lieutenant – ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500
  • Captain – ₹61,300 to ₹1,93,900
  • Major – ₹69,400 to ₹2,07,200
  • Lieutenant Colonel – ₹1,21,200 to ₹2,12,400
  • Colonel – ₹1,30,600 to ₹2,15,900
  • Brigadier – ₹1,39,600 to ₹2,17,600
  • Major General – ₹1,44,200 to ₹2,18,200
  • Lieutenant General (HAG Scale) – ₹1,82,200 to ₹2,24,100
  • Lieutenant General (HAG+ Scale) – ₹2,05,400 to ₹2,24,400
  • VCOAS / Army Commander / Lieutenant General (NFSG) – Fixed ₹2,25,000
  • COAS (Chief of Army Staff) – Fixed ₹2,25,000
  • Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500 per month
  • CTC: ₹17–18 Lakhs annually (including allowances)

Allowances:

  • DA (Dearness Allowance) – revised biannually
  • Field/High Altitude Allowances (e.g., Siachen Allowance)
  • Transport Allowance: ₹3,600–₹7,200 + DA
  • Kit Maintenance Allowance
  • Free medical facilities, CSD canteen, housing benefits, pension

Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting of Applications – based on NCC certificate grade & graduation marks.
    • NCC ‘C’ Certificate: Grade ‘A’ = 50 marks, Grade ‘B’ = 25 marks.
    • Graduation: 85%+ = 50 marks, 60–64.99% = 5 marks.
  2. SSB Interview (5 Days) – OIR, PP&DT, psychological tests, GTO tasks, personal interview, conference.
  3. Medical Examination – detailed check-up at Military Hospital.
  4. Final Merit List – prepared based on SSB performance (not on written marks).

  2. Officer Entry Section – On the homepage, click on “Officer Entry Apply/Login”.
  3. New Registration / Login – If you are a new user, complete the registration process. If already registered, log in with your credentials.
  4. Choose Entry – After login, your dashboard will open. Click on “Apply Online”, then select NCC Special Entry 123rd Course from the Officers Selection – Eligibility page.
  5. Fill Application Form – Enter your personal, communication, and educational details carefully.
    • Before proceeding, keep these documents ready:
      • 10th & 12th Marksheet
      • Graduation degree/provisional certificate & all marksheets
      • NCC ‘C’ Certificate (if applicable)
      • Passport-size photograph & signature (scanned copies)
      • Valid email ID and mobile number
  6. Upload Documents – Upload the scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
  7. Review Application – Check all filled details carefully by clicking on “Summary of Your Information”.
